SUP & SURF LESSONS

Drop by our shop and take surfing lessons during your stay in Da Nang!
Surfboards and towels are provided. Wetsuit rental is available for an additional 100,000 VND per person and is not included in the lesson fee.
We also have a shower room, rest area and lockers for valuables so you can take lessons without any worries.
Our lessons are suitable for first-timers and beginners.  It's OK if you've never surfed before. This is your chance to start!  It will be a very memorable experience in Da Nang!
Our lessons are held in small groups, with one instructor for every 3–4 participants, so each guest receives attentive guidance.

Surfing is generally available year-round. We take seasonal wave patterns, the conditions on the day, and your experience into account when advising you. Surfing may not be possible depending on the sea conditions.

SUP Availability

SUP experiences and rentals are available only from June to August, on days when the waves are flat. Even during this period, our staff will assess the sea conditions on the day and make the final decision on whether the activity or rental can proceed safely. SUP is not available when conditions are unsafe.

A change from a SUP experience to a surfing lesson will be made only after consulting you and receiving your agreement.

Lessons for Children Aged 9 and Under

Children aged 9 and under (including 9-year-olds) may participate subject to prior consultation. All of the following conditions must be met:

  1. The child is comfortable in the water and is not afraid of it.
  2. A parent or guardian accompanies the child to the beach. The parent or guardian is not required to enter the water.
  3. The waves and sea conditions on the day are very calm and safe.

Our staff will assess the child and the sea conditions on the day and make the final decision on participation. Please consult us in advance. Depending on sea conditions, the lesson may be cancelled or postponed, including on the day.

Lesson Photos

Photos taken during your lesson are provided free of charge. Please speak to our staff before you leave to receive your photo data. Please note that photography may not be possible depending on the sea conditions and staff availability on the day.

About Your Surf Lesson

Main Shop Facilities: At our main shop, lesson and rental customers can use the showers, changing rooms, lockers, and towels at no additional charge. There are no showers, changing rooms, toilets, or lockers at the beach house. These facilities are available only at our main shop. When traveling to a surf spot for a lesson or tour, toilets, showers, and lockers may not be available at the destination. A rest area is also available.

What to Bring: Swimsuit, sunscreen

Payment Methods: Cash (JPY, USD, VND), Credit cards accepted

Insurance: Since surfing is a marine sport that involves risks, we recommend purchasing overseas travel insurance. (Optional)

Valuables: Lockers are available. We can also store your valuables at the shop.

Other: Lessons may be canceled due to weather or wave conditions.

 

●Timetable

  • Start Time: Lessons start between 8:30 AM and 2:00 PM (Vietnam time).
  • Sessions are available every 30 minutes.
    • If your preferred time is not available, we will assign a time based on availability.
 

Surf Shack - Booking & Policy

■ Meeting on the Day Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time. If you have not arrived 20 minutes after the scheduled lesson start time and have not contacted us in advance, your booking will be automatically cancelled and your paid deposit will not be refunded. Please contact us in advance if you are running late.
 

■ Deposit Payment To secure your reservation, we require a fixed deposit of 500,000 VND per person. The total deposit is 500,000 VND multiplied by the number of participants (up to 8 people):

  • 1 Person: 500,000 VND

  • 2 People: 1,000,000 VND (Total)

  • 3 People: 1,500,000 VND (Total)

■ Cancellation Policy

  • At least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson start time: Free cancellation. Your deposit will be refunded in full.

  • Less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson start time: The deposit is non-refundable.

■ Important Notes

  • Personal Reasons: The same cancellation terms apply to cancellations due to illness or other personal reasons.

  • Weather Conditions: If we decide to cancel the lesson due to weather or sea conditions (either in advance or on the day), a full refund will be provided.
